What time to Water?

Ideally, the best time of day to water grass is before 6 a.m. Watering early in the day minimizes the chance that heat and wind will cause rapid evaporation, and will keep the turf cool for the rest of the day so your grass doesn't stress out as much. From 2am to 6am is our recomended time to water.

Watering in the afternoon could be wasteful due to fast evaporation

Watering in the evening is NOT RECOMMENDED, this will lead to damp soil sitting overnight can become a hotbed for fungus growth.

How much to Water?

All lawn areas require 1"- 1.5″ per week. This is best done in several watering's per week at 10-15 minutes per zone depending on your soil type. Although in high heat or drought conditions additional watering may be needed. (Sandy soils drain quicker, therefore must be watered more frequently.)

Something else to consider:

If you are noticing that your lawn is dry in certain spots, or some areas of the lawn just aren't as green as others, this is a dead giveaway that your sprinkler heads are in need of adjustment and service.
